Kicker Jude McAtamney, who missed several extra points in the loss, including one that would have put the Giants up three with just seconds left in the fourth quarter, was released after four games for New York. McAtamney, a sophomore NFL kicker from Northern Ireland, joined the Giants through the league’s International Pathway program. Following Graham Gano’s injury in Week 3, McAtamney was promoted to hitter. McAthamney, who played college football at Rutgers, got off to a strong start for the Giants, kicking two short field goals and one extra point in his debut against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Cowboys’ BRANDON AUBREY made NFL history with a rushing 61-yard field goal. The miss proved disastrous for the Giants, although it was not McAtamney’s fault that the Broncos advanced down the field well into Wil Lutz’s coverage for the win. On the last play of the game, he kicked a 39-yard field goal. Instead of kicking a field goal to tie the game at 33, the Broncos celebrated the victory while the Giants were in complete shock at what happened in the fourth quarter. McAtamney’s lack of field goal range also played a role in this game as the Giants gave up attempts. They also decided to go for two when they went up 19-0 thanks to a quick score from Tyrone Tracey Jr. Conversion failed. Gano is eligible to come off injured reserve and is expected to take a punt on Tuesday to determine if he is ready to return to the team. Meanwhile, Youngho Koo, a former Atlanta Falcons offensive lineman who was released earlier this season, was on the Giants’ practice squad. He will face Gano this week to determine who will start for New York against the Eagles on the road on Sunday. He has missed 20 games since that season. When healthy, Gano has proven to be one of the best kickers in the NFL, making 83.9% of his career field goal attempts.關注 Fox News Digital 在 X 上的體育報導並訂閱 Fox News Sports Huddle 時事通訊。斯科特·湯普森是福克斯新聞數字頻道的體育專欄作家。
