The Bengals suffered an embarrassing loss to the Bears in Week 9, and star player Ja’Marr Chase was among those on the team who weren’t too happy. During Sunday’s high-scoring game, the Bengals scored 42 points but also gave up 576 total yards from scrimmage and ultimately lost 47-42 after Caleb Williams’ 58-yard pass late in the fourth quarter. Social media took note of the Bengals’ poor play on that touchdown drive, and Chase seemed to agree. As the Bengals wide receiver walked down the tunnel after a terrible loss, microphones caught him seemingly cursing his defense in a brief but profane outburst. “One damn stop,” Chase could be heard saying as he headed to the locker room. “One damn stop,” fumed Ja’Marr Chase as he headed to the locker room after the Bengals’ 47-42 loss to the Bears. pic.twitter.com/5Em5B5aZzY — Yanni Tragellis (@yannitragellis) 2025 年 11 月 2 日 這絕對不是你想從你的超級巨星那裡聽到的。 Chase backed down slightly from his emotional outburst in the postgame press, telling reporters that he was going to “stay in his lane.” “It’s no fun when you lose,” Chase said. “…I will stay on my line. I don’t want defensive players to come and tell me what the hell I’m doing.” According to NextGenStats, the Bengals defense allowed a whopping 15 tackles for 133 additional yards against the Bears, including 35 yards on Chicago’s winning touchdown. Entering Week 9, Cincinnati had 94 carries for 645 yards, both good for most in the NFL. Bengals running back Chase Brown also shared a similar NSFW message that seemed aimed at his defense: “We just need to play extra football. We put the ball in the end zone and go up a point at the end, end the damn game. Let’s just finish it. Just finish the damn game,” Brown told reporters.
