A range of deli meats sold in NSW and Queensland has been pulled from the shelves due to listeria fears.Gotzinger Smallgoods is recalling its 1kg sliced silverside, 1kg sliced roast beef, 1kg 4×4 sliced ham, 1kg sliced champagne ham and 1kg sliced provincial ham product.The products were sold in retail outlets and butcher shops in NSW and Queensland.A range of meat products sold in NSW and Queensland has been recalled due to listeria fears. (NSW Food Authority)Affected producted have the use by dates up to and including:Sliced Silverside 1kg – 20 12 2025Sliced Roast Beef and 4×4 Ham Sliced 1kg – 13 12 2025Champagne Ham Sliced 1kg – 17 12 2025Provincial Ham Sliced 1kg – 5 12 2025Food Standards Australia New Zealand has urged people not to eat the products.”Consumers should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund,” the recall notice said.”Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”Listeria monocytogenes may cause severe illness in pregnant women, unborn babies, neonates, the elderly, and immunocompromised individuals.”The general population can also become ill from consuming food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.”
